Body Armour - Coyote Vest

Coyote Vest

It's a dangerous world where coyotes, aggressive dogs, and even birds of prey can injure or kill your small dog in the blink of an eye. The Coyote Vest will help slow down or prevent a surprise attack and give you enough time to react before serious injury occurs.

The Coyote Vest is made in the USA with high quality workmanship and a unique combination of durable materials. The side panels are reinforced with genuine DuPont™ Kevlar®. The result is a very tough, stab-resistant vest that is able to withstand sharp canine teeth.

The Coyote Vest has been designed to help protect the areas that are usually targeted during an attack and be comfortable for your dog and be easy for you to put on and take off.

The Coyote Vest also comes with a full set of removable chrome spikes*. The spikes are made from very hard plastic and they're not dangerous to handle, but with enough pressure they're sharp enough to hurt. The spikes provide an important line of defense but Velcro makes them easy to remove whenever you want.

The Coyote Vest utilizes an adjustable waist belt and adjustable collar and it can accommodate a variety of dog shapes and sizes. A D-ring is provided where you can connect your leash and reflective features that make your dog more visible at night. The vest is water-proof, there are no metal parts that can rust, and it's hand-washable with a mild detergent and air dry in shade. Do not put in dryer. Color topper may fade overtime in sun.

The Coyote Whiskers are an additional accessory that attach to the top of the Coyote Vest with velcro for added protection.  They are lightweight, flexible nylon bristles that are not dangerous at all – but a predator doesn’t know that. For all they know the bristles might be razor sharp and poison tipped – the opposite of an easy meal.  While the Coyote Whiskers won't actually hurt anyone or impair mobility, they're stiff enough to irritate the eyes and mouth of an attacker

Choosing a Size

Choosing the correct size vest is easy -- the most important thing is the length of your dog's back. The collar and the waist are very adjustable with extra long straps.

Measure the length of your dog's back, from the shoulder to the start of the tail (do not include the neck) -- make sure the dog is standing up and not sitting.

*After measuring and you are still uncertain on which size to get, it is usually better to go with the smaller size.
